I have a bottle of Caledonian whisky bottled to commemorate the 1986 Commonwealth games held in Edinburgh. The Caledonian distillery was closed in the late 1980's, I have tried to find out more but all information I have found states that there were never any distillery bottlings.
Could anyone provide me with some information on the approx value if any, or should I just enjoy?
Many thanks
Robert

Hi there, there were two bottling done for the Commonwealth Games 1986, both hogshead single grain at 11 years old.
The bottles were done for distillery employees only and were bottled at 40% vol in Leven.
I was the assistant manager at the time and I still have one of each of the bottling as well as a miniature. A friend of mine designed the front label and I designed the back label with the blurb.
