Can anyone tell me the value of the unopened bottle of Highland Nectar Rare Old Scotch Whisky A Blend that I have? It is 4/5 quart, 86.8 proof and was distilled in Scotland and bottled in the United Kingdom under government supervision. It was purchased in the late 30's or early 40's in Illinois. It also has real gold wire around it. I haven't had any luck finding out its value. I was told by the woman who gave it to me that it would be quite valuable.

Were you able to view the photos I attached? I am stumped on this one. Your help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Yes, can see the pix - thanks! Unfortunately there's not a lot of information on the brand (even the brand owner doesn't have much details). I inquired about it to one of my contacts, just no response yet. Since Whisky.com does not offer valuations (at this time anyway), we suggest you send a request to mctears.com or bonhams.com. Be sure to send them the photos and please come back here to post what you find out. Good luck!

Did you ever find out the value? My husband was just given a bottle!
