Hi,

I can't find any info on a bottle of Scotch Whisky I have that reads
Lismore, Highland Malt Scotch Whisky.

It was blended by William Lundie and Co., Ltd, Glasgow, Scotland.

Any Information on it or the value would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I bought a bottle a few years ago and to be honest I thought it was terrible. After talking to some other people I can only guess that something must have gone wrong. I don't know what or how, but it was pretty bad. A few people tried the bottle I had and everyone was shocked with how bad it was.

It's pretty inexpensive, so I'd love to hear some other reviews as well. I hope my experience is unique, and I'd give it another shot if offered.

Thanks blenderm - I also found out this info...

Glenfarclas is owned by J & G Grant and they bought the company of Wm Lundie & Co Ltd in November 2004, along with Lismore and other brands, also their stocks so they could keep all the recipes the same.

Although a susiduary of J.& G. Grant, Wm. Lundie & Co have their own personnel, hold their own stocks of various whiskies, and trade and operate as a separate entity.

As for value, you'll need to contact either www.mctears.com or www.bonhams.com - both specialize in valuations. Let us know your findings.
