Where Can I Buy An Empty Barrel?

I would love to buy an original empty Whiskey barrel from a Scottish distillery. It would be perfect for my living room...

I too am interested in a barrel; I'm in Florida, USA ... where might one of these be available? Jack Daniels wasn't interested in selling one to me as they sell them to the Scottish distilleries .... :-)

If you've a pick up or something large enough to transport it mosst distilleries would give you one, possibly for free, if you phone and ask. Otherwise the only place would be Speyside Cooperage who have a places near Elgin and Edinburgh but you may have to pay for it.

You do realise that it would be quite filthy and the hoops would be rusted so you'd need to do a lot of work on it to clean it up to become house trained.
