View Full Version : When Whisky become a Pain in the Neck

Uncorking a very special whisky, part of the cork remains in the neck of the bottle.
OK I could push the obstacle into the bottle, trusting the cork does not disintegrate, drain the Whisky into a glass decanter, and chuck the empty bottle. However, this is not any old Whisky, it is a very old Whisky, and I would prefer to keep it the way it was first bottled.
My Q is this, any idea how I can remove this irritation, keep the Whisky in original bottle and not leave small particles of cork in the bottle.

Thanking you in anticipation.

hi!

maybe you can buy cork stoppers online... they can replace the original cork and you can still use the original bottle. i do hope thou that the bottle has standard sized mouth openings so that the ones available can fit.
