I'm really intrigued to check out GTS bourbon. Can anyone here describe it to me?

You can read John Hansall's reviews by going here (http://www.maltadvocate.com/whisky_reviews.asp).
Click GTS from the drop down menu and then hit
"Search". Results include reviews of seven releases.
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_T._Stagg) can give you the release year and ABV/proof
if one of the reviews suits your tastes.
This is a very odd comparison, BTAC GTS is very heavy, and to compare it to a Spey, or even a Cask Strength Islay is a stretch. That's just my personal opinion though.

I'm a whisky lover. Speyside, Islay, Irish, Canadian, Japanese. All great.
I hate bourbon. I find it sickeningly sweet. And yes, I have tried many different bourbons while out and about.
So I would say no.
there's Bourbon, and there's GTS.
