I write this with a glass of Glenrothes 1992 by my side.

I am sitting back and relaxing, reflecting on my efforts over the last three years of my life. I made the decision in 2008 to leave a loved career in law enforcement to go back to school for a law degree. I moved my family across the state to attend the University of Houston Law Center where I will graduate from on May 14th. Today I attended my last law school class, and because I arranged my schedule very carefully, I don't have any final exams to take this semester.

I have a bit of a reprieve until I begin studying in earnest for the Texas bar (licensing) exam. I have accomplished the task I set out for, and now sit, content, with a fantastic dram to sip.

Cheers!

I love this forum. Great reading & learning about good whisky. Been lurking here a few months & enjoy reading your opinions jwise.

You deserve a well earned dram for your hard work.

Congrats Mr. Wise!

For graduation, perhaps I'll bust the seal on the Glenrothes '85, or the '84, or the '72?

Break the seal on all of them and have dram of each. Now that'd be a celebration!

Whoa now! That would be a waste of two excellent scotches.

I think a waste is not drinking them. I usually drink 2-3 different malts a night by myself, not the whole bottle (though I'm guilty of trying). I'd still open them all and start enjoying them side by side.
