Hello,

I am trying to divine the value of a bottle of Scotch that was given to me as a gift. It is a bottle of The Macallan Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, 15 years old, distilled in 1984. It is of the sherry oak variety. If anyone could help me determine the value of this bottle of fine scotch, I would really appreciate it.

Cheers!

Brian

Hey there! We are figuring what you have is the 15 year old Sherry Oak which was produced for the US market only and was discontinued about 7 or 8 years ago. This was primarily bought for consumption and not as an investment. Therefore, Macallan does not have any record of any similar bottles coming up for auction to give an indication of resale value. If my assumption is incorrect, it may be a Distillery Exclusive Seasonal Selection. If that is the case, it could be worth £120 - £150.

Hello, and thank you for your information on my bottle of Scotch. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me with my inquiry. I am quite certain it is not an investment bottle, but I am equally certain that it is going to be a great whisky to enjoy for a special occasion, such as my son's graduation from college.

Much obliged!

Cheers,

Brian
