Hey all

I've been lurking around here for years & well, it's time to start posting a few reviews/suggestions as well as asking many questions.
I'm a Canadian living in Ontario & over the last few years it seems that the LCBO has opened up their eyes to the world of alcohol thus letting in some great new products. However with this influx of great whisky's(as well as other liquors) from around the planet, there have been quite a few duds in my books & if its one thing we all hate is laying down good hard earned cash only to taste complete & utter garbage.
My tastes in single malts are like many of other posters here, I love the stronger Islay's. However the last time I took the plunge with a wine casked malt was a Bruichladdich The Sixteens Cuvee E & man was I extremely disapointed with this malt. Things didn't get much better for the series as I've tried Cuvee B, C, D, with B being the best of the bunch but not is not saying much as I hated that one as well.
SOOOO here my question, has anyone here ever tried the Bowmore 16yr Bordeaux casked malt. I do enjoy Bowmore but am thinking the wine casking process might not be for me. And at $120.00CDN it's a rather steep investment in a paper weight

Thanks
