Dear Martin,
I have a bottle of Scotch Whisky which I would be interested in putting into an auction. I don't know anything about whisky so I was wondering if you would be able to tell me if it is valuable.
Details:
Old Malt Cask 50%
Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distilled at Port Ellen Distillery
Matured in Sherry Cask
Islay Scotch whisky for Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly London
Aged 21 years
Distilled September 1982
Bottled July 2004
This bottle is one of 305 bottlesfilled from the cask
Douglas Laing & Co Ltd
Finish: Long, Maritime yet earthy and medicinal
Nose: Sherry impact, warms to an Islay collison
Palate: Spiced, fruity, phenolic, darkly smoky.
700ml
Also it comes in a wooden presentation box embossed with a gold coloured FM and pattern (obviously for Fortnum & Mason).
Regards
Mark Coulson
