Found a Bottle ... Seeking Information

I moved into a house and found a bottle in a cardboard sleeve that has the words "Container Made in United Kingdom" impressed into it. The home belonged to a WWII Vet so I am thinking it is a vet "bring-back". Label says "By appointment of His Majesty The King". I don't know if they changed the label when Queen Elizabeth's reign began or not.

Label on bottle has No. AH 540476. Seal and Ribbon are still intact. I am eager to find any information about this bottle: Where was it bottled ? When ? Where was it sold ? When was it sold ? What might it be worth today ? I will attempt to attach a link from my Photobucket of the bottle, Hope it works.

White Horse is a blend of 40 whiskies (malt & grain) which come from across the Lowlands, Highlands and Islay. Lagavulin is the single malt which gives it its distinctive taste. Caol Ila is another. Interesting fact - After the death of the Sir Peter Mackie (founder & blender aka "Restless Pete") in 1924, sales of White Horse doubled after it became the first whisky to dispense with corks and use a screw cap.

White Horse is available in over 200 countries. :D

Thanks for your reply. I checked out the White Horse website and it was some really interesting reading. I am grateful for any efforts you make getting me any information.
