Can you tell me why Maker's Mark is spelled without the "e" in whiskey like most of the other bourbons?
When Margie Samuels created the Maker's Mark label (the only woman ever to be solely responsible for the creation of a spirit label) she wanted to pay homage to the Samuels' family Scottish roots, so she chose the Scottish spelling of "whiskey" - no "e".
And now you know..."the rest of the story"!
