Being a new Scotch drinker, I have tasted Lagavulin 16yo, Macallan 12yo, Highand Park 12yo and Glenlevit 12yo. I am not sure if any of those were aged in a Bourbon Barrel or not. If not what is a good Single Malt aged in a Bourbon Barrel? Thank you and Happy New Year.
Try Glenfiddich Solera 15 Yr Single Malt - it's matured in traditional American bourbon, Spanish sherry and new oak and is then married in a large Solera vat made of Oregon pine. I believe this is Glenfiddich's top seller. Also, try The Glenlivet Nadurra, Aberlour 10 yo (matured in a combination of bourbon & sherry casks) and The Macallan Fine Oak series which is also matured in a combination of both bourbon and sherry oak casks.
