Importing Scotch for personal consumption?

It seems like a lot of Scotch isn't available in the USA. Can a consumer like myself buy liquor from one of the European liquor websites and have it shipped into the USA?

How do I handle the USA customs import stuff?

Hi Sid - Happy New Year! Yes, it is my understanding US customers can purchase from online sites like RoyalMileWhiskies.com Not sure on specifics, you would have to email them for more info especially regarding taxes / customs.

Another site to check is :
singlemaltsdirect.com - Make sure you understand the shipping costs because that can make a marginal 'deal' not quite so good.
I've used them more than a few times and have alwayd been very satisfied!!:)
