hey if anybody knows of a reputable website or a book with extensive tasting notes on scotch whisky i would love some feedback. i work at a restaurant that has no info on their scotch, so i am putting together an info sheet to accurately answer our patrons questions. this is for personal use and will not be used by the restaurant.

here is my list.

Dalmore 12yr and 21yr
the Glenlivit 12yr and 18yr
the Macallan 12yr and 18yr
the Glenfiddich 12yr
the Glenfiddich 15yr Solera
Bowmore 12yr
Macallan Cask
Talisker 10yr and 15yr

Great idea to have a bit of insight on tasting notes for the Scotches you have available at your restaurant. Have you looked through our Whisky.com directory? See: http://whisky.com/ and look for the 'Find Your Favorite' drop-down box. We have referenced tasting notes for just aboaut all of the brands /vintages you have inquired about. Also, have you looked up these brand web sites? You'll likely find plenty of information there as well.

Also, here is a book I really enjoy - Michael Jackson's Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch.

Good luck!

May I suggest to go in the closest Book Store and buy
- Michael Jackson's Complete Guide To Single Malt Scotch 5th ed.
and also the excellent book(s) of Jim Murray
in particular, the new Whisky Bible 2008 who had just been release.
Both book will give you lot of expert tasting notes.
