I have a bottle of Johnnie Walker red label, whihc i believe to be of some rarety. It has no logo of the striding man, nor the "1820" logo. Am I right in believing theis makes it bottled in 1909? Reference number at the bottom is JW R837 15. It also has an unusual clip top, rather than the screw variety.

Not able to view pix - can you send again? Do these links work for anyone else? The familiar and famous Walker & Sons logo was not created until after 1900. Definitely would like to see your photos, we can then have your bottle dated.

Got 'em - thanks! Let me see what we can find out for you. By the way, the "Born in 1820 - Still going strong!" slogan has used alongside the Striding Man figure since 1908...hmmmm.... :D
My thoughts were wrong... :( This bottle of Johnnie Walker dates from between 1943 and 1947 and the closure being used is like a metal lever cap.
