Hello all! I have two bottles of Springbank from the Wood Expressions series, both rum wood, bottled 2002... here are links to label pics:

My understanding is that for some reason the rum wood was not imported into the U.S. I got them in a somewhat complex trade. At any rate I am interested in the current value (and in selling them) and haven't been able to find any for pricing on the web. Any ideas?

Best,
pup

According to the Springbank Distillery - the Springbank 12 year old rum wood expression was imported to the US when it was released in 2003/04. It was limited to 5700 bottles and sold through very quickly. Springbank Distillery won't place a value on any of their products higher than the retail value which was around the £40 mark, for a good example of the price collectors are willing to pay, they suggest to take a look at whiskyauction.com.

We also suggest you send your photos to Martin at Bonham's - keeping in mind a very small fee may be involved. You can contact Martin through email: Martin.Green (at) Bonhams.com Another idea for a way to find a value is to take a look at E-Bay.

Hope this helps!
