I have a bottle of Haig & Haig "Scots Whisky Special, imported by Roosevelt & Schuyler (Sole Agents for the United States Canada Mexico" It probably dates from around 1930.

About 40% has evaporated, but the cork is unopened. Stored upright at all times that we have had it.

Any Idea of it's worth or how to obtain such information?

Hey there pharmxc!

To get an idea of the age of the bottle, please send a great photo shots to Christine, Diageo Archive Manager - email HERE (Christine.J.McCafferty@diageo.com). The photos must clearly show the label and the closure being used.

Once you get a better idea of the age, you can then send your request to Martin Green at McTears Auctioneers (his email address is HERE (martin.green@mctears.co.uk)) for a valuation.

(Samuel Montgomery) Roosevelt & (Montgomery Roosevelt) Schuyler were the sole importers of Haig & Haig before Prohibition, so the bottle is 1919 or earlier.
