Great stuff here! Proud to say that Mahesh is a friend of mine. Now if I can just get him to bring his new treasure to our next scotch tasting!! Anyone have contacts with CNBC? Please tell them the correct way to spell whisky!

Wow. I can not see the point in paying so much for a whisky, except for investment! I am sure it's amazing, but is it say $149,000 better than a $1000 whisky? I shouldn't think so.

I'd happily try it to find out given the chance though! ;)

He did buy it as an investment. If it drops in value, then time for a drink ; )

Thanks for sharing Jojo , the news video was pretty interesting and funny too .

Unfortunately no Dalmore whisky is carried at present by our beloved LCBO here in Ontario :(

No Dalmore? You're missing out :( Thankfully I'm a big fan of The Dalmore 15year - because that one seems to fit my budget a bit more than the 64 year old Dalmore Trinitas :D

Well I did an online search on the LCBO products and found that there is some 12yo Dalmore at a store not too far away so I'm going to get a bottle tommorow as I'll be out that way and see if it does better than the Highland Park 12yo which is a winner for me so far . I've just about finished a bottle of 14yo Oban and it's nice but not like the HP

Let us know if you're able to get it and how you like it. If all else fails, the third and last bottle of The Dalmore 64 year Trinitas will on display and for sale at The Whisky Show in London October 29 & 30. The price? £100,000. Today's exchange rate makes that $159,825 USD. :D

Picked up 2 Jojo and will be trying one later tonight .

I think I'll pass on the other , just a wee bit out of reach for me unless I win big in a lottery :D

I have always been a fan of highland single malts since I began drinking scotch regularly with 10yr Cardhu, which hasn't been readily available in the LCBO in Ontario for over a decade. I have seen it in their Vintages section, but at over $125 versus the $60 I used to buy it for.

On the Dalmore 15, I just returned from Mexico and got a 1L bottle for only $57 US. That's about 40% of what it would sell for at the LCBO. I also purchased some fine Mexican chocolate to enjoy with it!

Here's to another fine highland single malt! OLA!
