How rare is this whisky and how much is it worth per bottle?
If I were to sell where is the best place for me to sell it?
thanks
darren1979 - Royal Household is a Buchanan's brand owned by Diageo. It can only be purchased in Japan. Can you post a photo of it? We can then try to have it dated. BTW - where did you get it and are you in the US?
Some background info on Royal Household courtesy of Diageo:
This brand came about because James Buchanan was selected to supply Scotch whisky to the Royal Household in the 1890s, and he created a special blend especially for the Royal orders he was receiving. The name ‘The Royal Household’ blend was first officially used in 1900 and in 1901, 100 cases were delivered aboard the SS Ophir, in which the Duke and Duchess of York (later King George V and Queen Mary) sailed on their voyage around the world.
The Royal Household brand is now sold as a premium Scotch whisky in Japan. Buchanan’s has a long history in Japan, as James Buchanan became the Scotch whisky supplier to the Emperor of Japan in 1907.

Hello, My Father in Law just gave me a bottle of The "Royal Household" that he picked up in a sale. It's numbered 76/374. Does anyone have any idea of it's history? Picture at https://picasaweb.google.com/tony.reemanclark/Whisky?authkey=Gv1sRgCKz-1O7vgdiweQ#5609122278760105138
Thanks

Hi JoJo, Please bare with me, as I am new to this. I am on to see if you can value a bottle of Royal Household whisky, belonging to my partners mother. She came to be in possession of the bottle, as she was born in Harris, Lewis, Western Isles. As the Queen Mother had visited the island, the patron of the Rodel Hotel was entitled to so many bottles per year until his death. My mother in law(as we shall call her) put her name on a list to receive one of the bottles, and at least 30 years ago she was given a bottle. It has never been opened, and as she and my father in law are now 70 years old, they wanted to find out the value. It has a number 80/470, I hope this can be of help, and would appreciate it if you could get back to me. Thankyou, Angela :)

Angela, for a value you will need to contact a company such as www.mctears.com or www.bonhams.com - both specialize in valuations. Please be sure to post your findings here and if you decided to drink this bottle, we'd all love your feedback. Looking forward to hearing from you again.
