Hello all,
Is there a good US website that someone can suggest to purchase collector type bottles of whisky? I don't have time for bidding type websites. I want to give a bottle to a friend but I would like it to be vintage (and full).
Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by the use of 'vintage' but I'm not aware of such a site in the US. Could there be one - maybe but I don't think so.
To give you an answer - what state do you reside in??
If Illinois - try Binny's[all around Chicago and its suburbs]; if NY state - go to Park Ave. Liquors[ a hell of a selection and they ship to most states and very reputable]. In California DandM[San Francisco; ships most anywhere] as well as several others.
But, I've got you started so I'll wait for your response!

How about the Party Source (http://www.thepartysource.com/spirits_featured_view.php?item=01723)? Jay is very
helpful in tracking down specific bottles.

I'm looking for old collector type bottles. Something to add to a collection rather than open/enjoy. Not looking for new.....I see a lot of auction type websites but they are all in Europe etc.

Can you define "old collector type"? The examples shown on
the Party Source page include 1939, 1949, and 1969 Vintages.
I'm fairly certain purchase does not require you to open them.
Unless you're not looking for a specific bottle but rather a
"famous" collectible?...

This bottle I inherited from my grandfather, whiskey was 53 years old. Special item for collectors. The auction is without reserve, try your luck .
Kentucky Bonded Bourbon. This bourbon was barreled in 1957 and then was bottled in 1967. The seal on the bottle says it is registered to Distillery #16 in Louisville, Kentucky. This fine bourbon comes in a brown leather case with 2 shot glasses.

Hey out there, I have the first 1 pint bottle of 100 proof Old Overholt- bottled in Bond with
stamp, label in full picture, 1810, some whiskey that has not evaporated in 100 years. I saw
what was supposed to be the earliest one on the enternet, but mine is way better condition.
Holla, leejeanie_melaniele@yahoo.com. It's for sale
