Got an old bottle with tax stamp on top. I can't seem to find anything on this whiskey and I've done a lot of research. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Value?

I'm thinking this may have been a private contract bottling ? Just the name/label suggests that possability .

thanks. I'm just pondering whether I should drink it or save it and possibly sell it if its rare and valuable.
We haven't forgotten about you! We have reached out to several of our contacts and so far, no luck. Checking out a few other avenues at this time. These old whiskey brands certainly can be challenging as you know when it comes to digging up background info and value. In the meantime, you can try submitting a request for value to Kovels.com - I did try searching their site as well as their archives, but unfortunately, no luck there either.
Nitehawk55 - you're right on! We consulted with Chris Morris - master distiller for Woodford Reserve and a very knowledgeable historian of American whiskeys to boot! He said: "Masterson’s Station was as you thought a private label bottling from what is now the Wild Turkey Distillery."
We can try to see if there's any chance we can obtain info from Wild Turkey.

You're very welcome - and no problem. Unfortunately digging up info on old American whiskeys can be difficult and time consuming - but know we always give it our best shot! Thanks for your patience : )

I couldn't reach Rik Pike by phone or by e-mail.

So I contacted Martin Green from Bonhams in the UK and he said: Thank you for your email and very helpful image. I am afraid that both
bottles are relatively modern and would not be suitable for inclusion in
one of our specialist sales. I do hope this news is not too
disappointing."
I wasn't asking whether it could be in one of their "specialist" sales, so I'm still sort of stuck here. Are private labeling bottles, especially by someone like Wild Turkey, generally worth something?

In a lot of cases only to the collector :)

Check your PMs - I think I sent a suggested forum to inquire at.
(Didn't know if including links to other forums was acceptable or not).
