Hello

Researching the value of above found in my father's estate.
What I know is limited, dad brought it back to the States from Europe
when he was in the US Air Force in 1951. All labels & seal are intact. Has been stored in the orginal box (top flap missing) in the top of his closet, out of all light. Scotch is clear. Jas. & Geo. Stodart Ltd. apparently closed down in the late 1930's. I can copy and send labels and box by email if someone is willing to assist me. I assume laying the bottle on a scanner to copy the labels will not hurt anything...please confirm. Thanks

This is a tough one, so try contacting Martin Green at McTear's in Glasgow. Here's his email HERE (martin.green@mctears.co.uk).

Hello, I've been looking for information on what I think is the same thing. (I can't see the pictures because I'm not a member, but is it a light brown rectangular box? Big, dark block lettering?) Anything I already know is below. If someone could tell me the value, rarity, etc, that would be great. Thanks. :]

Stodart's Rare Old Liqueur, Scotch Whiskey. 20 years old when bottled. 86 proof. Jas. and Geo. Stodart, LTD. Glascow. I believe it was bottled in 1927.

My e-mail is xsimplychaoticx5@aim.com. Thanks again.

Hi. I came across this thread when I was looking for the Stodart distillery - the company is still active - has phone numbers listed - it is owned by an Italian outfit apparently. Check web site "whiskywhisky" for Stodart
