The Macallan Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky 1977

I have recently been given a 70 cl bottle of THE MACALLAN SINGLE HIGHLAND MALT SCOTCH WHISKY 18 years old and distilled in 1977. The box and bottle are in new condition. I was wondering if I were to sell this bottle what price I could expect and also where I could sell it.

Unless its sold thru some type of auction house that might specialize in spirits the most common place would be Ebay.
Given the age I'd expect you could get around $160 or so with the right buyer! The current economy might knock that estimate down a bit.:eek:

Thanks 505Gibbs! We also just heard from our Macallan contact who recently attended a whisky auction at Bonham's in NYC that there were lots of The Macallan 18 from 1980 that were selling for approximately $175 a bottle. Just to give you an idea... :D

I just recently was given a bottle of the above. What would be the value of this bottle and box? Both are in perfect shape. I'm wonderening if I should sell it or enjoy it... :)
