where is it available and can you tell me anything about it?
Sandy Mac is mostly available in Latin American countries such as Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile. It was originally created by the Alexander and McDonald firm which can trace its history back to 1840. The firm consolidated with the producers of Old Parr and then toward the end of the 19th century became MacDonald, Greenlees and Williams. The company changed its name again to MacDonald Greenlees Ltd in 1925 when it was purchased by the Distillers Company Ltd, one of Diageo's predecessor companies.

I noticed the bottle of Sandy Mac is very similar to Old Parr, and the little I could find in the internet they were at least at one point part of the MacDonald Greenlees Ltd . Is there a connection between the two. I really like the Sandy Mac (picked up a bottle in Paraguay) and I always loved Old Parr (Very happy that you can finally find it in US at least Miami)
