Hello;
I'm not a scotch drinker, girly drinks are my preference, but I maintain a supply of good scotch for guests. I have a bottle of Lagavulin 16 for Islay fanciers, and Balvenie portwood 21 as the highland.
I'm interested in adding a lowland of comparable quality to the lineup. As I understand that portwood is highly prized, could anyone suggest a good lowland portwood of a caliber to match the other two?
Thank You

The 'issue' you have to deal with is that there aren't the number of producers of lowland single malts as there are in the other areas. There never were a great number of them to begin with and those small numbers have been significantly reduced over the years!
Having said that you could look for the Auchentoshan Three wood which was finished in oak and two styles of sherry casks[oloroso and Pedro Ximenez]!
I'm not aware of any lowland single malts with a port finish at this time BUT I could be proven wrong.
Hope this helps.:)
